Blitzen is a celebratory beer released in December, brewed to encapsulate flavours of the holiday. This year's Blitzen is a inspired by everyone’s favourite brandy-soaked Christmas cake, complete with raisins, cranberries, dates, whole vanilla beans, orange peel and cinnamon. (The brewery smelled particularly good on the day the aforementioned adjuncts were prepped for conditioning.)
This embodiment of holiday flavours offers up notes of orange, cranberry and vanilla at the forefront and more caramelized fruit notes as it warms up a touch. Rich, smooth, fruity and supremely befitting of the season. The perfect winter night cap.
